Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Core Software Architecture: Designing and maintaining high-performance, real-time software stacks in C++ and Python for advanced robotic manipulation
- Foundation Model Deployment: Implementing and optimizing Large Behavior Models (LBMs) and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models to enable generalized robotic skills.
- Hardware Integration: Interfacing with a variety of robotic hardware, including multi-axis arms and end-effectors, via custom hardware abstraction layers.
- Motion Planning: Developing sophisticated motion planning algorithms in C++ that operate safely in unstructured, dynamic environments.
- System Optimization: Profiling and optimizing code for edge deployment, ensuring models run efficiently on local GPU-accelerated compute modules.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working alongside AI researchers to translate cutting-edge robotics papers into production-ready features.
Desired skills
The candidate needs to meet the following basic qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Computer Science (or a similar field) with research experience in Computer Vision.
- 3+ years of industrial experience in Robotics
- Hands on experience working with real robots
- Exceptionally strong in both C++ and Python
These additional robotics qualifications will be helpful:
- Experience working with industrial robots such as UR, ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Denso, etc.
- Fluent in English
